The cheese board at Drake's was created to satisfy the different preferences of cheese lovers who visit the restaurant, consisting of a fine selection of artisan British and French cheeses made with cows, goat and ewes milk.
Tunworth
A small cheese made from unpasteurized cow’s milk, It is made in the north edges of Hampshire, close to the border with Berkshire and Surrey about 30 miles away from the restaurant.
It has a creamy texture and wrinkled rind covered with thin white mould. Pate aromas bring memory of whole basket of fresh vegetables with dominance of cabbage and cauliflower mixing with some mushroom aroma of rind. If you are looking for soft cheese with interesting, rich flavour you certainly will not be disappointed. Enjoy with our home made walnut and sultana bread or simply with water biscuits.
