Montagny 1er Cru 2005
Made from 100% chardonnay grapes, from the Cote Chalonnaise in the South part of the Burgundy area (where the wines are getting more sun than in the North part).
This wine has a beautiful clean golden colour, is dry, mineral and opulent and has a slight nuttiness.
2005 was the last recent great vintage in Burgundy.
It is a superb match with the chicken and lobster dish that Steve has created as it requires something rich and opulent.
